The result is a buldge that allows the intestine to protrude to the lower portions of the vagina. Symptoms that can result are: vaginal pain, difficulty evacuating the bladder and rectum, discomfort with physical activity, pain with intercourse, pelvic pressure, and atrophy of the vagina skin.
